I am searching Galway hoping to find which parish my GG grandmother was from. Her namewas Honoria Dolan who emigrated about 1850-1851 to Ulster, New York. She was born abt. 1834 and died on April 21, 1898 in Troy NY. She married John Guinan from Cork on Nov. 11, 1852 in Kingston NY at St. Mary's Church. Parents names may have been John J and Bridget. and she may have had sisters named Martha and Catherine. There is a family story that her father may have been in the shipping business. Thanks

Hi Kelley
Thank you for your query. It would be helpful if you could include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search...Generally more information was given at the port of arrival rather than the port of departure. If you knew which city they arrived at (e.g. Liverpool, New York, etc.), this could be a good place to find more information. -And perhaps even find out an exact place of origin in Galway.
