I am looking for information on my 3 x great grandmother Ann West before she was transported in 1828.
From her Ticket of Leave I have the following;
Born 1782 Galway, a farm servant sentenced to 7 years transportation for stealing sheep. Married with 2 children, husband Michael Forbes.T
Date of trial ; 3 April 1828, County Galway. Ship ; City of Edinburgh. Transported with 2 children.
Any information would be appreciated.

Very few churches in Co. Galway have records back to the late 1700s/early 1800s. I looked unsuccessfully for a marriage record or possible baptismal records for the family.
