I am looking for information about my grandfather Henry O'Toole. He was born in 1896 or so. As best as I have been able to discern he left Queenstown on the Francenia and arrived in Boston on June 12, 1914. I believe he had a brother Thomas who also lived in the Pittsburgh area. He is from Oughtergard I believe. Any help in discovering anything else about him would be greatly appreciated. My husband and I are coming to Ireland in October and would love to meet any relatives.

Your message looks very familiar. See the 1901 and 1911 census records for a family in Connemara near Oughterard. There was no Thomas in either census record. Is this the correct family?

Thank you Roger for your reply. I apologize for not replying sooner as I have been busy with my youngest daughters wedding. In response to your question, I am beginning to think this is not the correct family. I have found 4 different Henry O'Toole's born at about the same time. His parents may be Patrick Toole and Anne Powell but I have not been able to find them in the census. My husband and I will be in Galway Octoer 8 and 9 and hope to track some things down. Thank you for your help.
