Hi, this is my first post on this website and hope someone can help. My mothers family originated in Galway before moving to Birmingham in the 1850s. The names I have are, Charles Hardiman born 1821, Elizabeth Hardiman born 1827, they had 6 children, Charles born 1852, Thomas 1853, Patrick 1855, Mary 1857, William 1859 and Sarah 1860.
Any help on where exactly they might have lived, occupation etc would be great. I am currently living in Canada but am visiting Ireland next year, thanks.

The only birth/baptism record of any of Cahrles & Elizabeth's children is Thomas 1853
The parish is RAHOON RC
I couldn't find a record for Charles snr or his marriage record
There are 33 Hardimans in the Tithe Applotments 1823-37 (free online) but no Charles
Griffiths Valuation 1848-64 & free online has 79 Hardimans in Galway but no Charles
You might want to do a surname search for Hardiman at the top of the home page as I remember doing quite a bit of research for Hardiman recently.

I checked a cd I have Memorials of the Dead Galway & Mayo for Hardimans and there is a record:
Pray for the soul of John Hardiman who died October 19th 1877 and his brother Peter Hardiman who died April 14 1883 aged 76 Erected by John Hardiman Boston USA
The location is Kilmeena Old Cemetery Mayo
