Hi, I am trying to locate the names of my Nans parents. 

My Nan was born in Lough Corrib near Galway and her name was Nora Kavanagh in. She was born in 1920 I beleive. 

I was hoping someone might be able to help me trace her parents names?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I looked at the civil birth index records for the Galway registration district. The closest record is one for late 1919. (see below). You can get a copy of this record from the General Register Office for around 4 euros. The record will show the names of the parents and where they were living in 1919. If you want to get a copy of this record, let me know and I will forward instructions.
