Bridget was my g-g-grandmother. Her parents were Patrick Fleming and Mary McDermott, and she had siblings Michael, Patrick, Celia, Johnny and Catherine. They emigrated to Newark Valley, NY in 1864 and Catherine was born in NY.
I would love to find out more about Patrick and Mary's families - I am unsure of their parents names or even their birthdates.

Thank you very much for your query to Ireland Reaching Out. I am actually from Roscommon , which is not very far from Creggs. I know there are Flemings and McDermott's still living in Roscommon.
Have you looked for a birth record for Bridget? Check the General Register Office (GRO) for this. If you have trouble locating the record you could try writing to the parish priest for more information.
You should also look a the land records called Griffith's Valuation (1848-64) for additonal information about where her parents were living.
