I am looking for information on my Great Grandmother Anna Bohan. In particular I would love to hear from descendants of the Bohan’s who may know when and where she was born and when she got married any details of other family members.
I know that she married James Thomas Darcy and passed away in February 1915.The age on her death (93) indicates that she was born in 1822. The census records her as being born in County Galway.
Many Thanks

Derek:
I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and the only possible baptismal record for Anne was a March 29 1819 record for an Anne Boughan in the Tynagh RC parish parents were Patrickj Boughan and Mary Mooney.sponsors were Patrick Fahy and Catherine Fahy. I would treat this record as a lead.
I did not locate a possible marriage record.
The 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Duniry civil parish shows James Darcy in Lackabaun townland.

1911 census http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Galway/Tynagh/Lackabau…; NOTE Anne indicated she had 15 children but only 7 were iving in 1911
I only located baptismal records for two children Mary March 24 1849 Ballynakill and Michael January 30 1851 Ballynakill.
