I am trying to find the parents/siblings of a Patrick Palladius MacCarthy born in 1848 in Letter, Kilmeen. I have details of him from Ancestry UK, but would be grateful If anyone can help me to further my research.

Have you tried the www.irishgenealogy.ie website? They have the baptism and marriage records online for the Diocese of Kerry and Cork. My great-grandfather came from Kilmeen and I found what I believe is his baptismal certificate there. It has recently been updated and much improved. Take a look at it.
