Sorry about the delay in replying - just logged on here as away for a few weeks

There are 2 Carty families in the area who are possibly related to your Catherine - I will ask them about a Mitchell connection

There is only one Screen family and possibly these are your Screens Will see what link there might be between Catherine and Mary

So sorry for such a long time to reply as I had not clicked on the automatic email response on my profile. I wish that I had more information for you but all I have is her marriage record in 1857 to Thomas Mitchell of Ballymacward. Unfortunately the Menlough marriage record does not show any parents names. I live in the US but originally from Galway and recently I showed up as a possible 4th cousin match on a DNA test with another person here in the US and the only name in common is Carty. His ancestor was Mary Carty but does not know where in Ireland she originated. It is very possible that Catherine and Mary were sisters as that would indeed make us 4th cousins. His Mary married a Hubert (Hugh) Curley who was also from unknown in Ireland. Thanks for any assistance that you can provide.

I have quite possibly shared DNA with the same person on his Curley side

I come as a distant match to Michael Holmes in Maryland and most likely it is through Hugh Curley
