I am searching for information on my third great-grandparents Anna McKonklin (McConklin) and Samuel Russell.  As I understand, they were both born in the Eyrecourt area.  Anna was born about 1854, and Samuel was born March 1848.  My grandmother, Mildred Russell Higgins told me that they were from Cork.  I have record that Samuel Russell sailed from Queensland on the Tariffa to Boston, Massachusetts.  He arrived in America on July 10, 1869.  I am not sure if Anna came with him to America or followed. They were married in America in 1873.  My grandmother was proud to be of Irish decent.  I am planning a trip to Ireland in June and would love to learn more of my heritage.  If anyone has any information on the Russell or McKonklin families, please contact me.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

Can I ask why you believe there is an Eyrecourt connection? I haven't been able to find a marriage or baptism record for Anna that mentions Eyrecourt. RC records for the parish begin in 1849 so you are just on the cusp of that. Do you know what religion they were?
