I searched RootsIreland (subscription) and did not find anything on Patrick but found a Simon maybe his brother. Simon was born about 1830 based on his 1871 death record. He was a shephard and married Honor Healy in Dunmore in 1849. I found 2 children John 1850 and Mary 1865, born in Strawberry Hill, Dunmore.

Jason,
What was your grandparent's name. When were they born? Was it in Dunmore? Were they in Ireland during the 1901 census? Did they get married in Ireland? Do you know their siblings' names including married last names?
Did your grandparent stay in Ireland? When and where did they get married and name of spouse.? What were their children's names?
From your knowledge of the Heneghans, what were you expecting?
Regards- Mary

Jason,
As I mentioned above.
I searched RootsIreland (subscription) and did not find anything on Patrick born in 1830 other than the 1901 census but found a Simon maybe his brother. Simon was born about 1830 based on his 1871 death record. He was a shephard and married Honor Healy in Dunmore in 1849. I found 2 children John 1850 and Mary 1865, born in Strawberry Hill, Dunmore.
I speculate that the Patrick H. on the 1901 Census, I previously shared, married to Sabina was Simon's brother your Patrick's father.
You still need to figure out when your Patrick who married Margaret Ruane was born. It would have to be after 1849.
Another twist on trees on Ancestry, Patrick is shown married to Mary Fleming in 1892. She died in 1894. His marriage record to Margaret R. does not identify him as a widower. They had two sons Simon 1893 and Thomas 1894. I found Simon living with his Fleming grandparents in the 1901 census.

Jason,
According to trees on Ancestry, Patrick who married Margaret Ruane had the following siblings - Simon, John 1849-1890, James 1853-1932, Bridget 1859-1826, and Mary A. 1865-1951. Ancestry trees are not always accurate.
Also on an Ancestry tree, a James 1822-1888 is suggested as Simon's, who married Honor Healy, brother. James married Jane Higgins. Recap, if this is correct, Simon had two siblings, James and Patrick, that we know of. The tree also suggests their father was James Heneghan born about 1798 in Strawberry Hill, Dunmore, County Galway, Ireland.

Honor Heneghan died in 1917. Her son James witnessed.
