We are visiting county Galway August 27-30 and looking for information on Lawrence and Bridget Carr Lyons family, sons William, Patrick, Matthew, and daughter Bridget. William was born February 22 1865 in the diocese of Clonfert. Would it be possible to meet with someone there who might show us possible residence, grave of Lawrence or any geneological information? Apologies for the delay in getting back to you - I am still trying to find out if our Ballymacward volunteer is available.
Parish records for Ballymacward do not begin until 1856 for baptisms and 1885 for marriages. I haven't been able to find a marriage record for Lawrence and Bridget as a result. Children born to this couple include:
Michael born 10th September 1867
Matthew born 3rd June 1872
Bridget born 14th march 1876
The family lived in the townland of Annagh.
