I'm looking for any information on a Festus Mitchel and his wife Margaret (nee Connelly). They had a Daughter Jane (abt 1837), she married Patrick McDonough in 1862 and lived in Roundstone. Festus also had a daughter Judy and Im sure there are more children. I believe Margaret had a sister Bridget and the Connelly's where a family from Clifden. Jane came to the US in 1889 , lived in Norrth Dakota on her sons farm until she passed in 1923. I would love to know more about my tow times Great Grandparents. Lezlee Freeman

The RC parish records for Clifden start in January 1838 http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/1046 I searched Roots Ireland and the only baptismal record I located was for Judith in 1838 (see below). Maybe the other children were older than Jane and Judith.
The 1856 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing only shows a George Mitchell on Market St. in Clifden.
