Geraghtys Field (Kinclare) - this field was donated by Patrick Geraghty of Kinclare for the purposes of GAA games and was also the venue for many competitive games int he 1920`s and 1930`s. In fact many championship games were held there.

There was a Mary Geraghty b c1831 on board the 'Palestine' destined for Western Australia 1852. I suspect that Mary was probably an inmate/orphan from the MountBellew Workhouse and possibly the Ballinasloe Workhouse before that.
