I'm looking for any information and documentation on my maternal grandmother. Her name was Mary Kathrine (also spelled Katherine) Ford. I have two dates of birth for her. It is either November 23, 1883 or November 14, 1884. She emigrated to America somewhere between 1900 and 1906. She died on December 29, 1925. She had a three sisters named Delia, Annie (birth 1887 ?), Sarah (birth 1886 ?). She also had four brothers: Martin, Patrick, Thomas and Michael. Michael Ford appears to be the only one who didn't emigrant and stayed in Ballymacward. I may have living relatives in your parish. My wife and I plan to travel to Ireland in June of 2015 and would like to meet any relatives that I may have. Thank you.

I located the family in Alloonbaun townland. Looks like Mary Katherine had left. The father died between 1901 and 1911. The mother was Bridget Mannion. The third link is a record that may have her sister Delia living with an older lady in a nearby townland.

My grandmother Delia Ford was Mary Kathrine Ford's sister. Michael Ford's son still lives in Alloon in the house your grandmother grew up in. Looking forward to hearing from you again soon and seeing you in Ireland.

I thought I posted a reply to Freda Geraghty but it doesn't appear on the post. Technology isn't my best strength. So here's a second try to see what happens. My name is Richard Shepler and my wife and I visited Freda and her husband Bernie in their kitchen three years ago when we visited Ireland. We were accompanied by Herbie and Noreen Parker. My grandmother was named Delia Forde.She was the daughter of John and Julia Forde, She married Joseph Connolly and they lived in colemanstown.
