Hello, I'm searching for family of my grandfather Daniel Keane born probably 1886 and emigrated to Bradford and then Crook, Co. Durham where he married Sarah Morley and had 4 children. Sadly died of TB in 1935 when my mother was only 11. Would love to hear from anyone with connections. Thank you. Padma

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Do you know the names of his parents? The only Daniel Keane I can locate in Co. Galway was born in 1889 and lived in Ballybaun townland in Abbeyknockmoy civil parish. You will have to sign-in to see the birth record. 1901 census record below also.

Dear Roger,
Many, many thanks for this information. On the birth record you sent, the surname is Kean and on the census the surname is Keane. I guess this was just a slip up. My grandfather definitely was Keane.
I will pursue this lead now on my next visit to Ireland and will visit Ballybaun.
Thank you again - and to anyone else who have any information.
Kind regards,
Padma

Hi,
There was a Daniel Keane born on 23/02/1886 in Derrybrien: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_retur…. His father was Patrick Keane and his mother was Catherine Collins.
Don't worry about the spelling of surnames in Irish records, I've seen Keane spelled Kane, Kain, Cain, etc. Many people couldn't read when these records were made, the spelling didn't matter to them.
He's on the census in both 1901 (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Galway/Derrylaur/Derry…) and 1911 (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Galway/Derrylaur/Derry…).
It looks like he might be yours, if so we're related. You can email me a jason@keane.id and I'll share what I have with you.
All the best!
Jason
