I couldn't find the parents' marriage record either.

There are 2 Stephen O'Donnell baptism records from Galway - 1828 Rahoon & 1833 Kilcummin Oughterard

There are 13 for Honor Kelly in Galway 1833 + - 2 years in Galway including a couple from Rahoon & Oughterard

The RC church records for Ballynakill/Derrybrien are not on Roots Ireland. (They do have the marriage records starting in 1854). The only records you will find on Roots will be the civil records which start in 1864 and Col located two records as noted above.

Later this summer the National Library of Ireland plans to place all RC parish registers online for free searching. I would check out the Ballynakill/Derrybrien records at that time.

I was able to locate Stephen and Hanora  in the 1901 census in Derrybrien South townland in Kileenadeema civil parish which is just to the west of Ballynakill parish in south Co. Galway.

I also located the 1911 census and Stephen was still alive and Hanora had passed away.

I could not locate a civil death index record for Hanora or Stephen.

Hello. Not checked this site for some time. The Stephen ODonnell you mention is the brother of my Great Great Grandmother Mary ODonnell. She Married Johnl Gallagher who can be found on the 1901 & 1911 census in Derrybrien West. Stephen & Nora's family can be found on the census in Derrybrien South just across the road from the Gallagher's. The family left Derrybrien in the 1950's. The bar ODonnels in gort is owned by a descendent of Stephen & Nora. If you are family it looks like we are 4th cousins. I can share my research privately with an email address. I find that published research is open to in accurate copying and corruption.
