I am looking to connect with family members of the KIGGINS family from Abbeyknockmoy.

My g-Grandmother was Bridget KIGGINS b.1845, FEAGH, Abbeyknockmoy.

I believe she had brothers Patrick b.1843, John b.1845, and Michael b.1838.

Michael and Patrick were farming at Feagh West (Moyne, Galway) in 1901.

The census says PEAGH, but looking at the original doc. that is an error.

I don't believe there is a PEAGH Townland in the area !!

Michael is a Widower and had a daughter Bridget living in the house in 1901.

Patrick married Bridget and I believe they had 2 children ? and Ellen b.1888.

It looks like Ellen married James NESTOR.

There was also a Niece of Patrick, Mary who married John FAHEY.

    This is Patrick in 1901 - it says Mary FAHEY (married) is his niece, but the baby in the house is his Grandson - which makes no sense.

    I have a feeling the child must be the grandson of the Uncle William, and the son of Mary.

    Mary and her son have moved out, and the family can be found living in a different house but still in Feagh.

  • There was a daughter Ellen KIGGINS who married James NESTOR, they probably got the farm at Feagh after her parents died.

    This is the family in 1911.

    My Dads brothers family still live in Feagh.

    Do you know Mary KIGGINS parents names ??

    I have it that Mary had 6 children, 2 girls and 4 boys.

    Who was your father ??

    In answer to your questions.....

    I now live in South Africa.

    My Grandparents were John Fahy and Mary Kiggins {1879} ,they had 11 children, 6 Boys and 5 girls.

    My father was John Fahy

    Mary's parents were  Patrick Kiggins {1846} and Bridget Carrol {1846}.

    Patrick's parents were Patrick Kiggins {1820} and Judith Lawless {1820}.

    Mary had a brother Patrick {1895} and a sister Ellen {1888}

    Do you already have this information.

    Would be great to keep in contact with you and find out how we are realated.
