Looking for help with John Flanagan (b:~1801) and his wife Mary McGuire (Maguire) Flanagan (b:~1803). They immigrated to Canada in either 1838 or more likely 1844 with 6 children: Ann (b: 1827), Bridget (b: 1831), William (b: 1834), Andrew (b: 1835), Mary (b: 1836).and Peter (b: 1839). They were Roman Catholic. Does anyone know of an Enniskillen connection? They settled in an area of Ontario started by William Maguire of Enniskillen.

I belong to a list where a couple of people are researching FLANNAGANs from Fermanagh, I have posted your message and will let you know of I receive any feedback.
There are no official birth records for Catholics before 1864, but it is possible there may be Church records, but you would need to know which Parish they were born in.
There was a Patrick FLANNAGAN born 1849 in Stephen, Huron, Ontario to John FLANNAGAN and Mary McGUIRE that could be related.
