  • hi,

The inscription comes from a headstone in AGHALURCHER CEMETERY (nr Lisnaskea).

There is a Fermanagh list where people share information, that I recommend you join.

There are a couple of members researching TRIMBLE families.

This is where I posted your enquiry about family still living in the area - I have not heard anything back yet.

    Here is the instructions page.

  • hi Ron,

I just noticed the following info about the headstone.

This inscription was contributed to this database by Ruth Allister and Glynn Trimble who give Sarah’s maiden surname as Beacom. This headstone lies on the ground at the foot of Christopher Trimble’s headstone.

They also contributed the following info...

Erected by Christopher Trimble in memory of his wife Frances O. Trimble nee Clarke, died 15 th Aug. 1930. Christopher Trimble died 2 nd June 1934 aged 88. Peace perfect peace.
[This inscription was contributed to this database by Ruth Allister and Glynn Trimble.]

Hopefully they still read the emails sent to the list.

    Regards,

  • hi Ron,

    re: Sylvia, Allen and Ivan.

There are quite a few TRIMBLEs still living in Fermanagh.

There is one living at Derrycullion.

I don't know if you want to phone them, not sure you would understand them and visa-versa.

You could try writing I guess.

  • Hi Ron

    Welcome to the CLAN!!

From the info above you are related to my wife Sylvia and brothers.

Our research into the Trimble Clan started back some 20+ years ago. Most of it has already been given to Australian relatives over the years.

James Trimble was born on 29 Sept 1830 an married Charlotte Hall in Australia.

His father Willian was born in 1798 and died 21 June 1878.

Do not hesitate to make contact if we can assist further.

    Regards

    David
