Hello. I am new to your site.
My name is Victor Breadon and I have hit a brick wall with my G/Grandfather John Breadon.
His records were destroyed in 1922. I know he was married to Elizabeth Penman in 1868 and they had
A daughter Rachelle Mary in 1871 then a son William in 1877.
John drove a carriage and William whent to Glasgow Scotland to work on the docks sometime after he came of age he married my Grandmother Evelyn Ferguson in 1917.
I hope this is enough information as it is all I have.

As John was married in 1868 there will be a civil record of his marriage as civil registration began in 1864. It may be an idea to see if you can get a copy of this record as they also give the couple?s fathers? names. Civil records are available from the General Register?s Office in Dublin. Here is their website:

Alos, have you tried looking for the family in the 1901/1911 census records? These can offer lots of useful information. Here is the link:
