  • Thank you Roger,

I have found that entry on the 1901 census, and Edith with her grandmother on the 1911 but what happened to her after that I do not know.

The Sophia I mention with the twins, (born 1902) - Caroline was my Grandmother she came to New Zealand in 1921 with her Aunty Susanna (whomed she believed to be her mother.)  Caroline was told her sister Frances had died but I can find no proof either way on that one. Her sister Margaret (Maggie) on arrival in New Zealand went down to Dunedin where she married a David BOYCE (he was from Ballydugan as well) David was staying with his mother's relations MURRAY's  -  his father was Nathaniel and his mother Jane. or Mary Jane MURRAY from county Down.

Sophia married 1908 and went to Belfast with her husband William James DOUGHERTY.

I would like information on Elizabeth and Robert from what my mother told me recently one or two of them went to Amercia. unfortunatley when my grandmother died my uncle threw out all her correspondance with family back in Ireland.  Mum said she did talk about Aunt Lizzie a lot but she can not remember if that was Elizabeth or Robert's wife she was talking about.

Once again thank you for the reply

    Dianne
