My line of Henry’s hale from County Down, Moira, Lurgan, Craigavon, County Armagh and then onto Bohermore, Galway City.
I have attached a PDF descent report
and some GEDCOM documents relating to Joseph Hendry, Eleanor Lavery their son Robert Hendry and my great grandfather Matthew Hendry. It seems that Matthew was a tenant of Sir Thomas Bateson 1st Baron Deramore. Matthew also appears to be landlord to William Lavery, Matthew Balance and Alexander McMullon.
Look closely at these documents I came across in addition to the Lavery family an Alexander Connoll. Edward Hendry’s father in law was Alexander McConnell so I’m probably looking at the same man. Alexander did appear to have an alias with the Mc replaced by O. Matthew’s grandmother was Eleanor Lavery this too points toward another family link.
Matthew Hendry appeared to be an up and coming landowner or sub-letter to a number of properties. Can anyone add to my efforts?
