    Hi,

Thank you for your message and for sharing this information on the IrelandXO message board. I hope that someone with connections to the family contacts you.

In the meantime it may be a good idea to contact the Ulster Historical Foundation to see if they can offer any further assistance. However a fee may apply. Here is their email address: enquiry@uhf.org.uk

Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.

    Kind regards,

My great-great-great-grandparents were James O'Neill (Aghalee) and Elizabeth Boyle...they were married in April 1828 at the R.C. Church in Magherlin, County Down. Their oldest son, John, was baptized in April 1829 at the church. The name Lavery was listed in the church register as either godparent or wedding witness....maybe Patrick Lavery? Visited 30 years ago and saw the church book but have lost my notes in some water damage...wonder if this James Boyle might have been a younger brother of Elizabeth....
