Hi, looking for any information on the above two. Wanting to find out if they are the parents of William Thomson, who married Sarah Kerr in 1862 and then emigrated to New Zealand in the later part of the same year. Any infomation greatly appreciated.  I have researched some information and their names (Ithink it may be them?? ) In Shankill in 1883 (death notices) but as I dont know the Irish areas very well, am unsure, any help would be great. Cheers Dianne

I know Elwyn was working with you from your Friday message and pointed you to Co. Down. I think I have located the church marriage record on Roots Ireland (there is also a civil record which you would have to get from GRONI for a small fee). William's father was Alexander. NOTE: neither the church or civil record will show the names of the mothers of the bride and groom. You would need to find the baptismal record.

My family lines all have ties to the Presbeteryn Church in Killinchy.   I have found records, but can't get further back than 1790's.   Is anyone working on these lines?   Any of these family names still living in this area?
