The closest matches for a birth / baptism of a John Roney Down 1798 on www.rootsireland.ie/ are 1793, 1796 & 1802

The 1793 is from Saul & Ballee Lecale R C and the other 2 must be protestant.

Hello Dan! I've been looking for info on my ggg-grandmother, Elizabeth Roney. She was born in 1765. Wonder if they could be related? Sorry I don't have info on our Roney but I always get excited when I see the name posted somewhere. Doesn't happen very often.
