My gggrandfather, Hugh Treanor, was born in Co, Down on August 18, 1800 or 1802. Guessing from the Flax registry of Co Down in 1797, one of his parents is probably from this short list:
Traynor, Bernard Kilmegan
Traynor, Hugh Ballee
Traynor, Hugh Tyrella
Traynor, Richard Tyrella
Traynor, Rose Kilmegan
Traynor, Thomas Kilmegan
Treanor, Patrick Newry
Treanor, Roger Clonduff
Treanor, Thomas Newry
He married a Catherine Sherlock (also from Ireland) in London in 1828 and emigrated to Canada in 1937, then Iowa, USA. He was in the garment industry.
Can anyone help me determine the parish and/or parents?
Thank You
Bill Guetz
