Seeking information about the families of John Ashwood and Susanna McIlveen. John Ashwood emigrated to Victoria, Australia in 1863 with his two sons Jamieson and Francis. A daughter Margaret stayed with her mother until  she also emigrated to Australia in 1875..

John Ashwood married Susanna McIlveen on 1st May 1855 at the 2nd  Presbyterian Church, Annaclone, Co Down, Ireland.

    I checked the Griffiths Valuation head of household data for Co. Down which was completed in 1863. Assuming your John Ashwood was captured in the Griffiths Valuation survey before he emigrated, the two records below are possible leads. Ballydown and Dooghary are townlands in Seapatrick parish which is just to the north of Annaclone parish. I also found the David McIlveen record in Annaclone parish. Since the marriage was in Annaclone parish, it is likely that Susanna lived in that parish.
