Donegal and Derry Ancestors

My McGee/Magee originated in Drumkeen when two brothers John and William were brought up Catholic and 4 sisters, I only have one name Nancy were brought up non Cahtolic, all four sisters emigrated to MASS. USA, William went to Sea and John remained in Ireland - my great grandfather John Magee (aged 19 yrs) married Mary Harkin (aged 22yrs) in St Baithin's RC Church St Johnston on 12 Nov 1871, the marriage certificate states witnesses were William Magee and another, father still alive John Magee - Mary Harkin's father was also still alive and named Daniel Harkin.  The Church Register stated witness Esther McGee and Dan Harkin.  Does anyone out there have a similar story?  I have loads of relations living in Co Donegal but I only know a few.

Lafferty - my grandfather's brother James born Derry 1865) and sisters Ellen born Derry 1871 and Mary bron 1867 all 3 emigrated to USA, according to my mother (RIP) they went to the O'Briens, their mother's maiden name was Catherine O'Brien who was also from Drumkeen, she had one sister Mary and one brother Maurice John they lived together in Drumkeen and were never married.  USA Laffertys - we have 2 photographs taken in a studio in Brooklyn, two lades and a child, so we think they must have emigrated to New York.  Another brother John Joseph went to Scotland married Jane Keogh, they had one son who had a large family and I am in contact with his son Peter who has been back to visit quite a few times but we would dearly like to know what happened to the 3 who emigrated to USA - the story goes that James married but had no children and one of the sisters married had a child and moved to Baltimore.  My grandfather Patrick Lafferty married Martha Doherty had 7 daughters and 3 sons, one daughter and one son died in 1919 of Spanish Flu, the family  lived in Bishop Street Derry and his sister Annie who never married ran a shop in Bridge Street.

Elliott - my g grandmother was Martha Elliott, she married Patrick Doherty, both addresses were given as Bishop Street when they were married 10 September 1863 and later married in St Columba's Church Long Tower - they had 11 children - Patrick born 10 Sept 1863 died 1919 Spanish Flu, Madge born 1 Oct 1864 married Henry Clifford; Elizabeth born 6 Aug 1869 married Arthur Wirght; William 22 March 1871 married Rose Barr; Edward born 19 April 1873 married Ellen but he was a widower by 1911; Mary born ? died 11 Sept 1876; James born 25 Aug died 27 Aug 1877;  Mary Anne 6 Oct 1878 married Cornealius Murray; John born 13 March 1881 married Lizzie ?Blether; Michael born 31 March 1883 married Mary Doherty (father Daniel, mother Sarah); and my grandmother was the youngest born 21 Jan. 1886 married Patrick Lafferty see above.  Their father Patrick Doherty died working onboard a train leaving St Johnston in Jan 1894.  The Doherty's came from Ramelton and Rathmullan my Ggrandfather Patrick Doherty had two sisters that I know of Mary who married ? Bonner and Annie who it is said was Housekeeper to the Bishop - the first record of them in Derry was when their mother died on 2nd May 1863, the address was given as 8 Bishop Street.
