I'm looking for information on Patrick Dowey, born 1780 in Ireland and immigrated to England prior to 1807. He married Hannah Sanderson and lived in Liverton N. Yorkshire. I would like to contact a Dowey to help in this search and provide information on my ancestral home and family. I plan on visiting N. Ireland in the next couple of years.

Research for the period you are looking at is very difficult, especially if you don?t know where in Down the family originated. Not many records go back that far.
