my ancestors thomas brisbane and elizabeth mcdermott  born about 1780 were in kilrea when their son robert was born  R.obert was born 1816 and married mary mcquade also from kilrea robert and mary had a family there and later went to scotland

  • You don?t say what denomination the family were. Kilrea 1st Presbyterian chruch?s baptism & marriage records start in 1825. The Church of Ireland records start in 1802, so you might find Robert & Mary?s marriage and their children?s baptisms if they were of either of those two denominations.

    Neither set of records is on-line as far as I can tell. Copies are held in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast, but you would need to get someone to go there and look them up for you.
