Hawthorne search

I live in Victoria, Australia, and I'm also looking for info on my ancestors who were in Lower Cumber, Derry - the Logans.  I wondered whether you have already found the "John Hawthorne" in the Griffith's Valuation of Tenements in Lower Cumber.  The GV can be searched for free on the askaboutireland website. In the GV John is listed as being in the townland of Kildoag, Parish of  Cumber Lower. 

You don't say when "your" John Henry Hawthorne emigrated to Canada, but the GV was undertaken between 1848 and 1864.  I understand that Londonderry would have been towards the later end of this timeline.Best wishes with your search.  Cheers, Helen
