Hello Co Derry Cousins,
I am looking for cousins names MALLOY/MOLLOY from co Derry. My Great Grandmother left
from Drumard Daperstown Co Londonderry Her name was Margaret "Maggy" Malloy born ca.
1860-1870. I have her marriage certificate. She married my grandfather James Campbell in
1882 in the Catherdral of St. Peter and St. Paul in Philadelphia,PA.
They moved to Baltimore, MD and had 6 children. They both died in Baltimore. I would be
happy to share whatever I know with cousins.
I believe Maggy's mother's name was MURRAY This is what my mother was told and she is
93 years old.
Thanks for sharing.

Griffiths Valuation for 1859has a Peter Molloy with a 28 acre farm (plot 39) in Drumard, and beside him Hugh Molloy on plot 40, with 29 acres.
These two farms are on the modern Drumard Rd, at the point where Drumard Lane branches off.

Some probate files (full file held in PRONI, Belfast):
Administration of the Estate of the late John Molloy, Drumard, Co. Londonderry, Farmer, who died 16 January 1911, granted at Londonderry 21 May 1920 to Isabella Molloy, Spinster, the daughter. Effects: ?32.
Administration of the Estate of Rose Molloy late of Drumard County Londonderry Widow who died 5 February 1914 granted at Londonderry to Joseph Molloy Farmer.
Molloy Patrick of Drumard Draperstown county Londonderry farmer died 15 December 1947 Administration Londonderry 6 December to Catherine Molloy the widow. Effects ?191 10s.
Above tells you there were Molloys farming there as recently as 1948. A search of the current phone book for Northern Ireland idoesn?t show any Molloys there now (but many people are ex-directory). There might be somebody on the voters list (part of the information is pay to view). You may need to knock on a few doors in the area to find out.
