Researching Patrick Mulherin/Mulhern b.c.1805 Co Derry married Bridget O'Hara c.1825. They had 9 children that I know of: Arthur b.Apr 1826 Co Derry; Rosanna b. Oct 20, 1828 Killywool; Mary Margaret b. Apr 1830 Co Derry; John b. Apr 15, 1835 Co Derry; Michael b.c.1837 Co Derry; Patrick b. Aug 20, 1839 Co Derry; Susan b. Oct 5, 1841 Co Derry; Charles b. Dec 20, 1843 Co Derry; James Peter b. July 27, 1845 Co Derry.
The oldest son, Arthur, married Susan Lindsay c. 1843 and had one daughter, Katherine b. Nov 14, 1845 before migrating to New Brunswick, Canada.
Patrick, the father, first migrated to New Brunswick in 1845 before his family. In 1846, two of the daughters, Rosanna & Mary Margaret came to New Brunswick I'm assuming to meet up with their father to help settle a home before the rest of the family migrated. Mary Margarets' husband Patrick McCluskey shows as migrating in 1846 the same year. Mary Margaret "may" have been married to Patrick at the time she came to New Brunswick OR Rosanna was a chaperone? Bridget, the mother, along with the rest of her family, Arthur, his wife Susan, daughter Katherine, John, Michael, Patrick, Susan, Charles & James Peter show as arriving in New Brunswick in June 30, 1847. The document shows the family as being from "Muff"
Patrick and Bridget as well as children were all Roman Catholic. Patrick's occupation is "shoemaker & farmer".
