I am looking for information about my great-great-grandparents Charles O'BRIEN and Ellen COSTELLO who lived at the townland of BALLYGRACE between Churchtown and Liscarroll. They had 5 children born between 1929 and 1939. One of them was my great-grandfather, Daniel O'Brien born in 1836. He left Ireland about 1860 and went to England. I'd like to know what happened to his siblings John b.1829, Johanna b. 1831, David b.1833 and Charles b. 1839. O'Briens were still resident at Ballygrace at the time of the 1911 census but I think the last of them died about 1950. I'd appreciate any information about descendants who may have also moved away. I believe that there may be connections to the McAuliffe, Vaughan and Flynn families. There are O'Brien family graves in Buttevant although the family baptism and marriage records are in the Liscarroll parish records. I believe that Ellen Costello was from Ballygran/Ballyagran (only a few miles away) in Co Limerick but I have not been able to confirm this.

Hi Elissa,
As far as I understand you are only looking for living decendants, there are stil a lot of O'Brien families in Churchtown and Liscarroll McAuliffe is also a well known name but the last McAuliffe in Churchtown died a couple of years ago. The Flynn families are also still around. I have done a shout out on our Churchtown facebook page for people to respond to your message.
