In researching my wifes family history I have been contacted by US descendants of this family looking to get insight int their family history. I have the 1901 and 1911 census records and also the Griffiths Valuations records. A Laurence O'Mahony, son of John O'Mahony died in 1954 and was buried in Old Glandore Cemetery. Are there some of their descendants still living in the area who might be able to help the Americans research their ancestors.
Any assistance appreciated.

Delighted to hear from you and thanks a million for going to all this trouble. I appreciate the info you have provided.
I wonder whether there is any better listing of the graves/burials in the Old cemetery in Glandore - I only see the set of inscriptions you found but I wonder whether that is the burial place of all of the Mahony family of Reenogreena including John who died in 1921 and his wife Nora in 1930. I also wonder if the Daniel on the old headstone behind the 'modern' panel with Lawrences family inscribed is his great grandfather perhaps - are all the Mahony family buried in that plot or in that graveyard? We may never know.
I wonder whether there are any older members of this Mahony/O'Mahoney family of Reenogreena still living and would they be willing to share family history stories? Any thoughts or suggestions welcome.
