I am looking for Rickard O'Donovan from Dunmanway. This is the information I have been able to gather although I am not positive it is all absolute.
He was born in 1802.
He married Ellen Murphy born about 1803 in Cork.
The had a son Michael Donovan Birth 31 Oct 1840 in Dunmanway, Cork, Ireland
We believe he immigrated to the US in 1867. One of more brothers (possibly Dennis and Patrick) and one sister may have immigrated with him.
He married Sarah Rowells in Waupun, Dodge, Wisconsin
They had 8 children
Death 08 Jul 1915 in Norton, Kansas, USA
Rickard would be my great-great-great grandfather
I appreciate any information or assistance in knowing where to look for information on this family.

www.irishgenealogy.ie is a free irish government site which has records for the Diocese of Cork and Ross (including Dunmanway). There are also records for Kerry and Dublin city. I looked for a marriage record for the couple with no success. I also looked for the 1840 baptismal record for Michael, father Richard, and did not find the record. The closest was an 1835 record. The mother was Ellen Hurly.
I also looked at the 1852 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Fanlobbus civil parish. There were three Richard Donovans listed http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/cork/fanlobbus.htm
Assuming the 1802 Richard was still alive, he could be one of the three. You will note a Richard in Keelaraheen which is likely the same townland on the baptismal record.
