My greatgrandparents Daniel McNamara and Margaret Cogan married November 1857. I would love to know the parish they were married from. Margaret was born in Rochestown (Douglas) around 1831 I would really like to know who Daniel and Margaret's parents were and how to find out the date that Daniel and Margaret died. Daniel was not listed on the 1901 census. Margaret is listed as a widow living in Rochestown with her son Daniel and his wife Margaret and son Daniel. Daniel and Margaret had 5 children Daniel, John, William, Jeremiah and Ellen (my grandmother). Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and apologies for the long delay in getting back to you.
Unfortunately I could not find a marriage record for Margaret and Daniel. It could be that they married in a parish and at a time that predates the parish records or that the records were lost. If you go to irishgenealogy.ie (a free site) you will be able to search for a baptism for Margaret and Daniel. The other site holding Cork records is a subscription one and I have looked there without any positive results given the years of birth mentioned for Margaret. There could be some options there for a baptism for Daniel but as we do not know where he was born or who his parents were it would not be possible to find out which, if any, is relevant and might only serve to confuse things.
In theory, the bride would have married in the parish in which she was born and lived but there doesn't seem to be a marriage record to officially confirm this in your ancestors' case.
Let me know if you learn anything new
Best wishes
