Y DNA shows a direct male line to Henry Green Barry, born around 1775, and lived in Ballyclogh House. Wife was Phoebe Drought (also showing a DNA connection). They had several children, one of which was Sir Redmund Barry of Australia. DNA indicates he is a g-g-g-uncle of mine.
Trying to determine our connection. My father was conceived in the US in Philadelphia area in 1919, born 1920. No recorded marriage between my bio-grandfather (whoever he is) and my grandmother.
Does anyone know anything about the Henry Barry clan? Again, the Big Y DNA shows a direct male lineage.
Thank you.

Hello,
I will see if there is any information I can find for you. In the meantime, the below link to Landed Estates mentions the Barry family in Ballyclogh house.

You might have seen this already or you might even know the creator of the tree

Thank you!!!! Speculation is that one of the male sons/grandsons had a child out of wedlock therefore we can’t find a direct naming line to our family. I appreciate your help.
