I think that I have found the grave of my gr gr grandfather, Timothy Walsh, in gravesite 0260 in Tulla Cemetery. He died on Nov 18, 1885. Between 1860 and 1870 his son, Martin Walsh, emigrated to the United States but I have been unable to find when and where he arrived in the States.

Also, I do not have any information on the parents of Timothy Walsh who was born in 1795.

Although Walsh is a common name, some of his descendants may still be living in the area. I believe that he was from Newmarket on Fergus.

  • Dear John:

Many thanks for your query to Ireland Reaching Out. I will have a look at the headstone number that you have (I assume from Historic Graves) and also the parish registers to see what I can find for you.

If you want to email me at: tulla@irelandxo.com with further information, please do so.

    Kind regards,

    Jane.
