Hi Patrick!

Attached is a copy of the baptisms of Thomas MORONY (31 July 1820) and Bridget (Briget) MORONY (11 Jan 1822).  Thomas' parents were Thomas MORONY and Marg POWELL (POWEL).  However, it looks like Briget's parents were Thomas MORONY and Marg CROWLEY.  I can't immediately explain the 2 sets of parents.  Are you sure that Thomas and Bridget were siblings?

Also attached is a Tithes Applotment Book 1826 entry for Thomas MORONY in the townland of Tyredagh in Tulla and a Griffith's Valuation (GV) 1855 for Thomas MORONY in the townland of Glendree in Tulla. The GV also shows a James MORONY occupying tenements in Glendree.  I can't immediately explain the inconsistency in townlands but I must caution that there may have been more than one Thomas MORONY involved.

I've done this bit of research because I have POWELL and MORONY ancestors in Tulla.  At the moment I can't link your Thomas MORONY or your Margaret POWELL with my ancestors but I'll bear them in mind in my future research.

Thank you for the additional information, I hadnt seen the valuation documents. I had copies of the baptism records and that is how I found Thomas and his parents. This is the only Thomas Moroney bapstism in the Tulla region that matches the range of dates for my Great, Great Grandfather birthday. I searched through the baptism records for possible siblings and found Bridget. To be honest, I was focused on the father and thought the inconsistent Mother's last names could have been for a few reasons. So, I am not certain they were siblings but it looked possible. Lastly, as much as I want to find my ancestors, I cant say with certainty that the Thomas Morony(Moroney), baptised, 31 July 1820, is the correct person but the location and dates work with limited information I have. Attached is a summary of my great, great grandfather. I am certainly ineterested in any additional info on the father - Thomas Morony.
