Still looking for connection to Glynn family of Kilrush. They were merchants. My grandfathr was Harry E Glynn, born in 1886 in Kilrush to a Mary McMahon, born abt 1866 to Sinon and Ellen McMahon. Harry emigrated to US in 1896 as Harry McMahon but changed his name to Glynn by 1915. Any information would greatly appreciated. Using Ancestry DNA have found connections to McMahon, Crotty, and Gleeson................still haven"t found Mary as she married Charles Mable in 1888, lived in Manhattan New York in 1920, disappears thereafter. Most of her famiy lived and died in Binghamton New York...........thanks in advance.Denise Buckley, nee Glynn

  • Denise:

    Welcome back!

I did find this 1901 census record for a William Glynn who was a corn merchant. Perhaps you have this record already.

I will also alert our parish liaison for Kilrush that you have posted a message.

  • Thanks so much, but the Glynn family I am looking for has Bartholomew as the ancestor starting point. Born about 1775, died in 1855. I believe that one of his grandsons was my grandfathers father. Still trying to find Bartholomews origins..........thanks Deise
