Hi,

Would like to connect with Haren / Harhen's of Tullaghaboy.  The Tithe Applotment Lists, one Daniel Haren living there in 1826.  Like to build on this family line with other Haren's.

  • Hi there,

If you are interested in finding some more information about your Haren/Harhen's ancestors, please be sure to let me know. Hopefully, someone in the local community will be able to let you know about any Haren/Harhen's still living in the area.

You might find these links of interest: http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/surname/index.cfm?fuseaction=Go.&UserID=

http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/surname/index.cfm?fuseaction=Go.&UserID= The name Harhen is found 100% in County Clare in the mid-19th century. You will also find the variant spelling of the two names on these links.

You could also check the 1901/1911 census records for an idea of where these families were in Ireland at this time: http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/

Please make sure you link anyone else in your family who is interested in their Irish heritage to our site - and indeed anyone else you know of Irish heritage.

    Kind regards,

  • There re school records available through the Clare county library website for Kinturk National School.  You will note that there are quite a few Harhens there from tullaghaboy.  This particular website is a very good place to start as you can look through Griffith's Valuation books and the 1901 census.

Just for your reference, tullaghaboy is in the parish of Kilmaley, about 10 miles south west of Ennis.
