Hello! My great-grandmother was Margaret Foley (b abt 1862) who emigrated abt 1882 from her home in Erribul. Her parents were Henry and Susan/Johanna (nee Cuggeran) Foley. Henry and Susan had the following children: I have connected with several cousins and am trying to work out if and how the Foleys of Erribul were connected to the Derrylough/ Kilimer/Tullacrine Foleys and the Cross/Bella Foleys. The Cross/Bella Foleys were blacksmiths, as were some of the Derrylough Foleys (Bernard O'Connor is the current generation who owns that land). Mine were farmers, but all of these families were so close in proximity, I find it hard to believe they weren't brothers or cousins at some point. Sean Foley O'Neill is at Erribul now. Susan Foley and her children are at Clonola. I've met both (Susan's husband Sonny before he passed away).

Sorry. I started to say in my original post that Henry and Susan had the following children: Timothy, no data known except he was the informant/son upon his mother's death at Erribul in 1883; Michael, b. 1848, d. 1871; Mary, b. Jan. 1852, married Tim McCarthy of Derrylough in 1882, d. bet July-Sept 1887; Patrick, b. June 10, 1862, no other data known; Margaret (my great-grandmother), b. abt 1863 (no baptismal or civil record located), emigrated to Jersey City, NJ, USA, married Patrick Coughlin (said to be from her area in Clare) 1888 there in Jersey City, he died and she remarried to James Davey of Sligo in 1895, she died in 1943; John, emigrated to Jersey City, married Margaret Moloney in 1893, died in 1908. Any information about any of the unknowns would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeanne
