  • Hi Doris

If you don't get any Vaughans replying to your post on the site you might try the Irish phone book which has 2 Vaughans in Clare.

I am not permitted to give you their details but if you google 11850 Directory Enquiries and select people search and enter Vaughan Clare you should find them. If you drop them a line with your info above you might get lucky - hope so.

  • Hi Doris:

Thanks for your message to Ireland Reaching Out.  Unfortunately, the Feakle parish records do not start until 1860. However, they are online through the National Library at:  http://registers.nli.ie.  You can type in Feakle and the microfilmed registers will come up.  You might take some of the female names and look through the Marriage Register to see if they married in the parish.  The registers have also been transcribed through the Clare County Library and you should check this website as well.  It is:  www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/genealogy/genealog.htm.

In addition, you should check Griffith's Valuation for the Vaughan families to see what townland they lived in.  You may be able to follow through with the 1901 Census.  If you need further help, please let me know.  You can email me at:  tulla@irelandxo.com.

    Kind regards,

    Jane.
