Hello!
Looking for any info on James Lennon born in Ireland and immegrate to Rhode Island . I have heard rumors from County Clare but no real facts. He was my Gr.Gr Gr grandfather. He went on to marry Jane Mcalevey in Massechusetts. I do not know much more than that. I know it is not much but his son John F Lennon Married Agnes T Conlin January 7th 1899. As you may know, the start date for parish records in Ireland vary, depending on the parish. As you do not know, for sure, what parish James was born it could be difficult to pin-point him in any records. You could search www.familysearch.org or www.rootsireland.ie (a subscription site) for records of James and his family.
You could also check the various emigration sources including:
http://www.castlegarden.org/ or https://www.ellisisland.org/
Out of interest, you could also search the Griffith?s Valuation (a land survey taken between 1847 and 1864) for the Lennon name at the link below. This could prove useful if you are successful in pinning down a townland/parish from baptism records:
