We are looking for the names of ancestors of John Henchy b.1845, Kilrush, Clair, Ireland and Mary Scanlan b. 1848, unknown location, and descendants of their children, other than Margaret "Maggie" Conry (Henchy), b.1889-93, Moyarta West, Carrigaholt, Clare, Ireland, d.1944, Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada (my wife’s grandmother).

Delia b.1871, Martin b.1877, Marie b.1877, Michael b. 1878, Patrick b.1881, John b.1885, Ellie b.1887, Margaret “Maggie” Conry (Henchy) b.1889-93, William “Willie” b.1890.

    Below is the 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Kilrush parish. There are no Henchy entries but there was a John Hinchy on Moore St. in Kilrush town. Possibly the father of John.

    I also located the 1872 civil marriage index record for John Henchy and Mary Scanlan. You can get a copy of this record from the General Register Office for around 4 euros. The records will show the names of the fathers of the bride and groom and where the bride and groom were living in 1872. If you want instructions on getting a copy of the record let me know and I will forward.
