I searched on Roots Ireland and did not find the baptismal record but not all parishes are on Roots all the way to 1910. I did locate two possible civil birth index records in 1910 in Co. Cavan. You would have to contact the General Register Office to get a copy of the record if one of them has a father Hugh and mother Alice. A copy costs around 4 euros. If you need instructions let me know.

Hugh McGrath’s marriage to Alice McAuley was registered in Omagh on 5.1.1909. You can view the original certificate on-line on the GRONI website, using the “search registrations” option:

You will need to open an account and buy some credits. It costs £2.50 (sterling) to a view a certificate.

Looks to me as though Hugh and Alice’s move to Glasgow was post 1911 as this appears to be them in Old Market Place, Omagh, in 1911. Note that one of their 2 children had died.

I'd be inclined to think the second of the 2 births that Roger has given you, is the one to go for.

 

I did some more searching and found a Patrick John McGrath civil birth index record in 1910. Ironically, it is two pages away from the second record in my first post. I think this is more likely the correct record.
