I am looking for any information on a Thomas Reilly born 1835 in Drumcrow County Cavan Ireland. I believe Drumcrow is part of or near Killashandra? He married to Margaret McManus born 1839 in or about 1859 or 7 in Killashandra. They are my 2nd great grandparents. Thier son Thomas born 1866 is my great grandfather , I have his bith info ..
I am thinking that there maybe more than one Thomas Reilly born 1835 in Drumcrow? I found info of one Thomas Reilly with parents Constantine Reilly born 1803 and Catherine Hayes. But with them in 1844 Constantine Reilly left Ireland with a number of his kids Rose , Honoria, mary , Matthew , and Patrick and Thomas Reilly b 1835.
I have dna matches to mary Reilly and Rose Reily . All this means is they and Constantine Reilly are matches to me ...If this info and this Thomas Reilly is my 2nd great grandfather that means he made enough money by mid 1850s abt age 20 to go back to Ireland and marry Margaret McManus. I forgot to mention when Constantine Reilly left Ireland he left his wife and a few kids i do not believe he ever sent for them.
So there may have been more than one Thomas Reilly born 1835. ???

Hi Ray,
Reilly & O'Reilly and other variations is one of the most common names in Co. Cavan so I do not doubt that there were more Thomas Reillys born in 1835
Killeshandra is one of the few places that still has a census for 1841 and it includes the townland Drumcrow, it may be one of the avenues that would help you sort out your dilemma.
There are a number of Drumcrows, this site give you all the names of the townlands and their locations https://www.townlands.ie/search/?q=Drumcrow
I hope I have not confused you.
Best Wishes Carmel
