My 2nd great grandmother Bridget DOUD was supposedly born between 1830-1833 in Killashandra.   She has a sister Anna born @ 1837 in Killashandra. Bridget and Anna's parent's names may be Francis and Bridget (Francis b @ 1776, Bridget @ 1800).

In 1841 census, there is a Biddy DOUD of the correct age living with her uncle Thomas RIELLY and his sisters.   (Bridget later ended up in northern California, USA and cousin to RIELLY's of County Cavan, living in San Francisco -immigrant was Francis J RIELLY born in County Cavan in 1849).

According to the 1900 US census, Bridget immigrated to the US in 1848.   She ended up marrying a man with surname McDONALD - most likely Bernard.   Don't know if they met in Ireland, on the ship, or in the US.  They lived in New York in 1860 and had 2 little boys.  Bernard disappeared before 1863,  Bridget and 2 boys moved to California and she married another man and had several children.

Her sister Anna married a man named John KELLY.  Again, don't know if they knew each other in Ireland or met later.  They had 2 children, then KELLY disappeared from any documents I can find, and Anna moved to California and married again.

The parents Francis and Bridget DOUD also ended up in California, and are buried in San Francisco area.

Hoping to find any information about DOUD's in Killashandra before 1850, were there any other DOUD children in that family, and if there were any McDONALD's in Cavan.

Thanks for any help!
